Phillip Oldridge Honored for Excellence in Public Transportation

Mr. Oldridge intends for his company to be publicly traded by the end of 2014

LADYSMITH, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, April 30, 2014, Phillip Oldridge, President and Chief Executive Officer of GP GreenPowerBus, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in public transportation.

Mr. Oldridge has 15 years of professional experience, with four years as president and CEO of GP GreenPowerBus. Over the years, he has become an expert in public transportation operations, as well as the design and development of city buses and highway motor coaches. On a daily basis, he is responsible for overseeing the development and production of the EV 350 all-electric city transit bus, as well as overseeing daily operations in terms of cash flow, budgeting and full-scale organizational responsibilities.

Mr. Oldridge intends for GP to become a publicly traded company by the end of 2014. The buses the company is bringing to market have estimated annual savings at an absolute minimum of $50,000, increasing to $100,000 depending on the fuel cost per state. Greenpower will be introducing its first all-electric public transportation vehicle into the North American market in May 2014. It will land in the port of Long Beach, Calif., and the bus itself is scheduled to commence a cross-country tour from the West Coast of the U.S. to the East Coast and then from the East Coast to the west of Canada.

Looking back, Mr. Oldridge attributes his success to hard work. After taking his previous company public, he sold it and retired, then worked with a group of high net worth individuals to establish his current organization. He became involved in his profession in 1984 and has served in a number of positions, including those of general manager, vice president and president of operations. He has also owned and operated several companies, the largest of which was Nevada Charter, which he owned from 1995 through 2000 in Las Vegas.

Mr. Oldridge received an MBA in Business from Richmond University in London, England. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with the American Public Transportation Association, as well as the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. In years to come, Mr. Oldridge intends to bring GP buses to market and establish his company not just in North America, but as a world leader with respect to electric-powered vehicles for public transportation.
